How We Work
My daycare is not the run of the mill set up. I am not in to setting up structured indoor activities, kids get enough “containment“ during their 6 hours of school.
I focus on the great outdoors.
The 20 minute walk to school gets the wiggles out. The 10 minutes we arrive before school begins is dedicated to social interactions with their peers and outdoor play. The kids come to rely on playing at Brooke after school for 60-90 minutes daily. Where they can interact again with their friends by playing on the outdoor equipment, playing imagination games in the small forest, soccer, basketball or 4 square in the under cover. We live in Vancouver, where we get liquid sunshine, let’s get back to basics and embrace playing outside in all kinds of weather.
Sometimes we pile in my car go to other parks, Annieville is a fave with its water park and zip-line.
Included in your costs is dally after school snack of home baking and fresh fruit. On snow days I bring sleds, extra gloves and hot chocolate.
Kids are pleasantly spent at the end of days with me.
Brooke Elementary is a lovely little school with amazing teachers. Many parents have crossed boundaries to enrol their children here and have appreciated the Brooke community.
Give your kids the Gift of freedom and chance to unleash their free spirit, because when given the opportunity, kids love the great outdoors!
